News from Lake Wobegon: Garrison Keillor鈥檚 popular Saturday night show will be cut short by 91制片厂 stations for coverage of election results.
WVXU-FM and other National Public Radio affiliates will cut away from 鈥淎 Prairie Home Companion鈥� at 7 p.m. for live coverage of the South Carolina Republican primary and the Nevada Democratic caucuses.
Keillor鈥檚 entire show will repeat noon Sunday on WVXU-FM, as usual.
91制片厂 political coverage also will preempt all or part of 鈥淟A Theater Works鈥� 8-10 p.m. Saturday, says Kevin Reynolds, WVXU-FM community relations manager.
鈥淲e are waiting to hear if 91制片厂 is going to do live coverage of the South Carolina Democratic primary on Saturday, Feb 27. If so, we鈥檇 have to preempt hour two of 鈥楶rairie Home鈥� again,鈥� Reynolds says.
WVXU-FM also will air 91制片厂鈥檚 live election results coverage at 8 p.m. March 1 on 鈥淪uper Tuesday,鈥� and at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 15 for primaries in Ohio and other states.
